Hi, I’m Eric!
My entire life I’ve had three obsessions: animals, entrepreneurship, and San Francisco.
My family has been in San Francisco since 1865 on my dad’s side, and in May 2021, I started giving walking tours around the City. As of January 2024 I have led over 430 tours in every corner of San Francisco. For more information on my walking tour company The Native Experience, head on over here.
A Real San Francisco Story. With Pets (July 2020) is my story told through my perspectives as an entrepreneur, animal lover, student, mixed-race and queer person. Emilio’s First Pride (Spring 2024) is an LGBTQ+ picture book about my childhood in the City by the Water.
I grew up with almost every pet you’ve seen at a pet store: rabbits, chinchillas, cockatiels, and many cats and dogs, just to name a few. The animals taught me responsibility, unconditional love, and so, so, so much more. In May 2013, I started Eric Curry’s Pets (ECP), a private pet care company. Six and a half years later, I served my 1,000th unique pet, and in January 2021 I sold ECP.
